Correla and National Inclusion Week

Correla is delighted to be sponsoring National Inclusion Week (25 September – 1 October 2023). The annual celebration is run by Inclusive Employers to raise awareness and celebrate inclusion in the workplace.

We are committed to being a diverse and inclusive workplace where our people can indeed be themselves and fulfil their potential, so it is a very important date in our calendar. Whilst we acknowledge that Inclusion and Diversity isn’t just something we focus on for one week of the year, the week gives us all a dedicated platform to amplify awareness, champion change and celebrate differences.

Take Action, Make Impact

Now in its eleventh year, the 2023 theme for National Inclusion Week is ‘Take Action Make Impact’. The theme builds on previous years, signalling a call to action for everyone in the organisation, from leaders to Inclusion and Diversity professionals to teams and individuals. This powerful message aims to get organisations and individuals thinking about what actions they can take and what impacts these actions could and should have on marginalised people in their workplaces.

We are very excited to be running a programme of activities throughout National Inclusion Week to bring our people together to talk openly and share their ideas, thoughts, and experiences.

These activities include interactive webinars, sharing colleagues’ #mywholeselfstories, holding “Let’s Talk About…” sessions and inviting colleagues to contribute to our Commitment Board. The week is all about us listening, engaging, and shining a light on our people.

It’s important to educate and raise awareness, but Correla also want its people to share their own lived experiences. This is why we run dedicated sessions as a platform for thought-provoking conversations, and to receive feedback from the team – all of which is vital if we want to shift the dial and make a difference.

Inclusion and Diversity should be more than just a strategy, it needs to be our philosophy. It’s who we are, how we behave, and what we do. It’s about moving from “I really want to make a change” to “I have made a change and seen the impact it has made.”
